After the important meeting of BCCI on 29 may it was concluded that IPL 2021 will surely resume in september-october window and this time BCCI has once again trusted UAE to host another IPL title. The decision has thrilled the indian fans and there seems to be a celebration on social media through various memes.

IPL 2021 resume dates

There are 31 matches that are left to be played in 2021 IPL. The likely dates would be ranging between September 18 and October 10. Also BCCI’s reason for this was a little surprising as well . The BCCI in a press conference declared that it is generally monsoon in india at this time and they would not like that IPL should be paused again.

Availibility of players is also a issue

A big question on the availability of the overseas players still remains and franchises have been working with the BCCI to seek replacements since around 40 players including those of England, Australia and New Zealand will be unavailable, which is why the BCCI has asked the CWI to advance the Carribean premiere league by at least a week so that the West-indies player and other foreign players who are involved in both the leagues are available to the franchises from the start of the season.

Why UAE?

UAE is the place which is mostly preferred by BCCI and also UAE’s Covid-19 condition is fair as well. Also there are large number of indian residents residing in UAE which is a plus point to conduct IPL there.
